Fayette County Recycling Center is operated by the Waste Management on behalf of the county for the benefit and convenience of all county residents. A wide variety of recycling opportunities are provided to minimize individual cost and reduce consumption of landfill space. Residents can recycle common household items and electronic items free of charge. Yard waste, tires, and appliances can be recycled for a minimum fee.
Household Recycling includes items such as newspaper, magazines, office paper, telephone books, mail, shopping catalogs, aluminum & steel cans, plastic drink bottles & milk jugs, washing detergent containers.
Electronic Recycling - All Electronic Equipment is Acceptable with the exception of Manifested Hazardous Waste, Radioactive Waste, Biohazard Waste, or Mercury Containing Devices..
What material is not accepted for electronic recycling?
Light Bulbs (fluorescent & incandescent), Fire Extinguishers, Car Batteries, Smoke Alarm, Thermostats, Thermometers, Air Conditioners, Gas Powered Engines.
Vegetative Debris - grass, leaves, limbs and trunks only. Maximum size is 12 inches wide and 4 feet long. A nominal charge applies.
Tires - Fayette County accepts almost all tires. Any size tire up to large truck tires without rims are accepted.

Paint - Fayette County accepts paint in the original, clearly labeled, non-leaking container. Paint cannot be mixed with anything including other paint.
