Water Conservation: Stay up to dateUntil the drought is over, or at least until the situation becomes less critical, we will dedicate this location on our website to Georgia’s water situation and how it affects us here in Fayette County. While Fayette County’s water supply is healthy and we have an ample supply of water for months to come, we are not exempt from the mandates and conservation requirements imposed upon Georgia’s drought-stricken counties by state agencies. It is critically important for all of us to understand the seriousness of Georgia’s drought and to do our part to help. A Letter from the Board of Commissioners * Water Restriction Changes Effective April 1, 2008 * Residential Toilet Rebate ProgramTo encourage customers to replace older inefficient toilets the Fayette County Water System is participating in the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Residential Toilet Rebate Program. Rebates are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first serve basis. To view rebate information and find out if you are eligible, go to www.northgeorgiawater.org/toiletrebate. The application for the rebate can be downloaded from this address.

Additional information is available online at Fayette County’s website www.fayettecountyga.gov, along with a printable copy of the form. The Fayette County Water System would like to thank you all for your efforts and for helping Fayette County meet the Governors’ requested 10% water reduction.
Here you will find a list of links that will take you directly to sites containing the latest in conservation practices, new and ongoing mandates from the Governor’s Office, and what to expect in the future. Check here for updates, announcements, and urgent information about our drought conditions and the latest news from state and local officials.
