* Utility Service payment transactions will be complete once the Fayette County Water System receives a signed New Meter Installation Service Agreement if purchasing a meter, tap, or line extension. Once the Fayette County Water System receives the completed documentation, a receipt number will be available to obtain a building permit.

1. What information will I need to pay my water bill?
- Your account number including all digits before and after the dash. (located on your billing statement)
- The balance owed on your bill
- Your credit card number including the security code on the back of the card
2. What does Utility Services include?
Other water related purchases include meters, taps, line extension cost or unmetered water invoices. A New Meter Installation Service Agreement must be filled out and submitted to the Fayette County Water System office to move forward with the purchasing process for meters, taps and line extension cost. The New Meter Installation Service Agreement can be filled out and submitted online here.
3. Why is there a convenience fee?
Paymentus Corporation charges a fee to use their service. The fee covers payment handling and processing charges. Paymentus Corporation will charge a $3.95 convenience fee per $250.00 transaction for water bill payments. A $15.95 convenience fee per $500.00 transaction for other water related services.
4. Does Fayette County Water System receive any part of the convenience fee?
Fayette County Water System does not receive any portion of the convenience fee. Paymentus Corporation is an independent company providing a service for the Fayette County Water System.
5. I don’t have a lot number or subdivision name. What do I enter?
If you are purchasing a new meter, paying a tap fee or line extension cost and do not have a lot number or subdivision name, enter the service location street number as the lot number and the service location street name as the subdivision.
