General FAQ’s
Q: Can I view my bill online?
A: No, but if you have any questions regarding your bill Customer Service is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm at 770-461-1146 option 5.
Q: Where are the drop boxes & what time are the payments picked up?
A: The FCWS drop boxes are located at our office at 245 McDonough Road in Fayetteville, at the Administrative Complex Hwy 85 entrance in Fayetteville, at the Regions Bank on the corner of S. Peachtree Pkwy & Crosstown Road; also at the Regions bank located on Kedron Drive off of Hwy 74 N, and at the Town of Tyrone Town Hall on Senoia Road. All Drop boxes are picked up Monday-Friday at 8:00 am.
Q: If I have had service with FCWS before, why do I have to pay a service fee again?
A: Every time you set up water service, a new account is created in our billing system. The fee is an Administrative Fee which includes account set up and the trip our Field Service Technicians make on site to get a reading for your new service.
Q: How much notice do I need to give for a New Service/Termination?
A: We request at least a 24 hour notice.
Q: Can I launch my boat in the lakes?
A: Yes, only boats with an electric motor may be used; if your boat has a gas powered motor it must be raised at all times.
Watering Restrictions FAQs
Q: Is any watering allowed at this time?
A: Yes, we are currently under a non-drought schedule, outdoor water use is allowed on an odd/even basis based on your street address number, three days per week. Odd addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Even addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Q: Can I wash my car and pressure wash my home?
A: Yes, but it must be done on your appropriate day of the week.
Q. Can I pressure wash my deck and patio when I pressure wash my house?
A. Yes, but it must be done on your designated days of the week.
Q: Where can I report water violators?
A: Watering violation may be reported to Customer Service at 770-461-1146 option 5.
Q: I have new grass and landscaping put down, do I still have to follow the restrictions?
A: Yes, newly installed grass and landscaping may water everyday from the date of installation, for 30 days (except Friday).
Q: Am I allowed to use my sprinkler system at this time?
A: Yes, during your designated watering days.
Q. I am on a well, do I have to follow the outdoor watering guidelines?
A. No, if you use a private water source the restrictions do not apply, but we recommend following the water conservation guidelines set by the Department of Natural Resources.
Q: Can I fill a swimming pool, and is there any adjustment given on my water bill for this?
A: Filling a swimming pool is allowed, no adjustments are given to the water portion of the bill, however, the sewer portion may be adjusted, check the bill for your sewer provider to inquire about credits.
