GDOT sponsored bridge replacement project that is currently in the early stages of design. The existing bridge, built in 1965, and consists of four spans of reinforced concrete deck girders on steel piles, concrete columns and concrete caps. The overall condition of the bridge is good. The design vehicle used for the bridge is below current standards, so the bridge is posted with weight restrictions.
This is a GDOT project (PI 08598) that will replace the existing bridge over Whitewater Creek. The project is in design and no action is required by the County at this time. Construction is scheduled to start in FY 2020. (Last Update: 11/19/2018)
