Administrative Services
The Administrative Services Records staff is responsible for keeping
accurate records on all incident reports and accident reports. The staff
enters all incident reports, arrest booking reports, traffic citations
and accident reports into the in-house computer. This Division also maintains
all of these records and is responsible for their dissemination to the
public as required by the Georgia Open Records Act. This Division interacts
routinely with our citizens, the courts, and prosecutors, as well as
local businesses, assisting with reports, checking criminal records,
and giving other assistance as requested. This Division maintains statistical
data, such as crime statistics and traffic accident stats. They also
assist the Civil Division in preparing their paperwork for service.
The Administrative Services Division is also responsible for the operation of GCIC/NCIC computer and validation of the information that is entered into GCIC/NCIC. In addition to maintaining the GCIC/NCIC computer, the Uniform Crime Reporting statistics are compiled by the Administrative Services Division and submitted monthly to GCIC. Personnel in this Division also run criminal histories for the citizens of our county when they are needed for employment, travel, adoption, et cetera.
This office prepares all warrants, citations and related paperwork to be sent to the court having jurisdiction over the case. This entails ensuring that the bonds are correct and incident reports, arrest booking and supplemental reports are with the warrants and citations when they are forwarded to the courts.
Citizens who need copies of incident reports may contact our office at the number listed below, or come to the Sheriff's Office to request copies during our business hours.
