The Division of Public Safety functions to provide administrative direction oversight to various departments to assure consistency in work practice, efficiencies and effectiveness in service delivery as we translate public policy for the Board of Commissioners and County Administrator into sound practice. We function daily utilizing the Incident Management System and have divided command staff into functional roles, which include intelligence, finance, logistics, operations and planning. We are optimistic that this model and our improved areas in information sharing and cooperative efforts will greatly assist each public safety department in meeting their specific mission more effectively and collectively to meet the comprehensive mission of a consolidated, multi disciplined public safety system for Fayette County.
