Fayette Forward is the project name for the development of a new Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP). CTPs are planning documents used to identify and prioritize future transportation projects. It is the goal of this project to develop a plan that promotes transportation policies and major public investments in ways consistent with the County’s larger goals and vision for future growth.
CTPs also play a critical role in helping compete for regional, state and federal funding. Without a current plan, the County would be at risk of losing these valuable sources of dollars.
Fayette Forward will update and replace the County’s existing Transportation Plan prepared in 2003. The project has five key tasks:
• Public Involvement;
• Inventory of Existing Conditions;
• Assessment and Analysis;
• Recommendations; and
• Final Documentation.
Glatting, Jackson, Kercher, Anglin and their project team has been hired to work with County staff and develop the CTP. Click here to review Glatting-Jackson’s Scope of Work for the project.
Funding for the CTP is provided by an 80/20 grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission. The County’s 20 percent match is provided via in-kind services and money from the General Fund.
