FAYETTE FORWARD – 2008 CTP

Public Involvement & Meeting Dates

The elected officials, staff and consultants working on the CTP encourage participation from the citizens of Fayette County. With a stated goal of preserving the character of the County, it is important to solicit public input throughout the process. This will primarily be accomplished through a series of meetings and workshops. Information regarding these events is shown below.

Information on future meetings will be posted as soon as they become available.

An open meeting to present on an overview of the CTP process and receive initial feedback on draft goals.

March 4, 2009

Board of Commissioners Workshop

Fayetteville, GA 30214
During the Board’s monthly workshop, the project team will make a short presentation on the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and discuss the upcoming workshops.

This is a Public Meeting with presentation followed by a question and answer session. The presentation provides an update on the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and discusses the purpose and goals of the multi-day workshop.

Design Workshop Open House
Drop in any day between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm

Fayetteville, GA 30214
The multi-day workshops are designed in an “open-house” format and provide the public an opportunity to talk one-on-one with members of the project team. Transportation-related comments are welcomed and encouraged. Project ideas can be evaluated on-the-spot by the design team for future consideration.

Drop in between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm for the open house;
Pin-Up Session is from 5:00 to 6:00

The workshop is a continuation of those on March 9 thru 11th, but with an ending time of 3:00. The Pin-Up Session summarizes the various transportation ideas, projects, policies, etc. presented to the project team during the four-day workshop. The purpose of the session is to provide the public an opportunity to review ideas collected during the workshop prior to staff review and editing.

This is a public meeting with presentation followed by a question and answer session. The presentation summarizes the findings and conclusions of the workshops from the previous week.
