FAYETTE FORWARD – 2008 CTP

Special Committees

In addition to involvement by the public, the Plan team will utilize input from specific advisory committees. This will include a Technical Advisory Committee and a Stakeholders Committee.

The Technical Advisory Committee includes representatives from governing bodies, local planning and engineering staff, Board of Education, law enforcement, fire and emergency management, the Atlanta Regional Committee, and Georgia Department of Transportation. This committee helps advise the consultants with regard to local and regional planning and design elements. Their input is used to guarantee a fundamentally sound strategy is implemented with regard to the recommendations and projects defined in the final document.

The Stakeholders Committee includes representatives from various sections of the community. The committee provides input from the people who live and work within Fayette County to assure that the final Plan is not only technically sound, but incorporates the perspective and vision from those within the community.

These committees are open to any organization or group who would like to be represented. Participation is encouraged.
