Outdoor Burning Ban Lifted

On October 1, the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services will lift the outdoor burning ban. Residents will be allowed to burn yard debris by following County’s Outdoor Burning Ordinance. All residents and homeowners wishing to burn will need to obtain a permit by calling 770-460-5730 Ext 5468. Permits are issued for unincorporated Fayette County, Tyrone, Brooks and Woolsey.

Contractors wishing to burn large amounts of debris will need to obtain a Commercial Burn Permit by calling the Department Headquarters at Monday thru Friday at 770-460-5730 Ext 5414.
