Federal Court Issues Injunction on Photo ID for Voting

On October 18 the Federal Court issued an order which prohibits the defendants from enforcing the photo identification provisions of House Bill 244. Unless a Federal Court issues another order removing the injunction, all previous 17 forms of identification, including the Statement of Elector used in place of ID will be acceptable for voting on Election Day.

Daylight Savings Time Ends October 30th

The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind every resident that when you change your clock back to standard time to also change the battery in your smoke detector. Functioning smoke detectors are a critical life safety tool that should be in every home.
