Fayette County 9-1-1 will be hosting an open house for all deaf citizens of Fayette County and their families on Saturday, June 18th between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
We invite all of our citizens who are deaf, or otherwise communications impaired, to come and bring their friends and family to visit our center. We'd like to show them that our facility is well-equipped and able to handle their TDD calls directly in hopes that they might feel more comfortable about calling us if they are ever in need of assistance.
Any of our citizens who have friends or family members who are deaf but do not live in Fayette County are encouraged to invite them to come visit our center as well. One of our very own dispatchers knows sign language and will be there to help those who need an interpreter. Refreshments will be provided.
