Carolyn Combs Retires

Carolyn Combs

Carolyn Combs, supervisor of the County’s Elections and Vote Registration Office, retired on May 31, 2005 with 21 years of service to Fayette County. Carolyn began working for the County in 1984 when there were 18 precincts and 18,000 registered voters. Today there are 36 precincts and 63,000 registered voters.

“I have seen changes in the manner of voting go from all manual, to electronic voting and I’m glad to have been a part of it all,” said Carolyn.

Margaret Malone, a 19-year Fayette County employee, will take Ms. Combs’ place.
