On Thursday, August 19th, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services firefighters responded to a home in the Rebecca Lakes subdivision for a reported house fire. After a 5 minute response time firefighters found the home partially involved in fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and to have started in the area of the garage. There were no injuries and the City of Fayetteville Fire Department assisted with extinguishment of the fire through a mutual aid agreement. Estimated damage to the home is estimated to exceed $250,000.
