On October 16, 2006 the Fayetteville Rotary Club held its annual recognition program for vocational service where it presented awards to four outstanding individuals in our community.
For Public Safety, Captain Steve Folden from Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services was recognized for his dedication and outstanding accomplishments. He was best described by the Director of Emergency Services and former club member Jack Krakeel, as a person recognized as a leader by his own peers.
“It is always a great honor to recognize individuals in our community for individual and group achievements” said Director Krakeel. Recipients were awarded Certificates of Appreciation and a gift from the club to show the appreciation for a job well done.
Capt Folden has worked for the Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services since 1987 and currently serves as the Departments Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Educator. He has won various local and state awards for outstanding contribution to the emergency medical profession including the Georgia Paramedic of the Year in 1996 and the EMS Educator of the Year in 2006.
