Please be advised that the Fayette County Planning Commission will hold a workshop on Thursday, April 6,2006 immediately following the public hearing scheduled at 7:00 p.m. at the Fayette County Administrative Complex, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, in the Public Meeting Room. The Public is invited to attend.

Robert Horgan Elected County Commissioner

Robert Horgan was elected County Commissioner Post 1 in a special election held on March 21, 2006.  He fills the vacancy left by A. G. VanLandingham who died in December 2005 from cancer.  Mr. Horgan will fulfill the term which expires December 31, 2008.

Remembering Commissioner A. G. VanLandingham

The Fayette County Commissioners presented an engraved rocking chair to the family of former Commissioner A. G. VanLandingham at a recent Board meeting. Commissioner VanLandingham passed away last December

Board of Commissioners Receive Portrait

The Fayette Heritage Project presented to the Board of Commissioners a water color of the historic Starr’s Mill.  The water color was done by local artist Patsy Gullett and will hang in the Public Meeting Room of the Fayette County government offices, along with three other paintings of historical places in Fayette County.
