County Offices Closed

The Fayette County offices will be closed Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

Holiday Hours

The Fayette County Transfer Station will close at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 28, 2007 for Memorial Day.  The Transfer Station will reopen at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2007.

Fire Department Urges Citizens to Obey Outdoor Burning Ordinance

  Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services continues to respond daily to outdoor burning alarms typically called into the 911 Center by neighbors and other concerned citizens even though out door burning permits have been suspended since the ban went into effect on May 1, 2007. According to Interim Public Safety Director Allen M. McCullough the burning ban during spring and summer months is even more important to obey as a result of the present drought conditions and days with significant wind gusts.
