| 08.14.07 | Fayette County Animal Services Director Appointed to Companion Animal Advisory Board Fayette County Animal Services Director Miguel Abi-Hassan has been appointed by Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin to the State’s Companion Animal Board. The Board provides input and advises the Commissioner on all aspects of the pet industry and animal husbandry practices, including animal control, pet rescue, owner trends, disease, kenneling standards and other medical practice issues. Pat Perren retired from the Fayette County Marshal's Office on August 15, 2007. She started her career with Fayette County 19 years ago in the Human Resources Department. 
The Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) presented the Fayette County Commissioners with an Employee Wellness Program Incentive Grant at a recent Board Meeting. This grant is presented statewide to promote work site programs designed to enhance the health of county employees and family members.
