Driver's License Information

If you are relocating from outside of Georgia, you must obtain a Georgia driver's license within 30 days of establishing residency here.

Documentation requirements are posted on the Department of Motor Vehicle Safety web site. Please review the various headings to determine which documents are required.

Driver's tests are given at the Department of Motor Vehicle Safety Driver License Office in Fayetteville from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Applicants should note that all tests stop 30 minutes before closing. The office is closed on Monday.
