Reserve Unit and Specialty Teams

Fayette County Reserve Unit

The Fayette County Reserve Unit provides support functions for fire suppression, emergency medical services, and emergency management. The Reserve Unit consists of 20 dedicated volunteers who serve their community in a variety of ways. The Unit consists of men and women who are nurses, pilots, Red Cross volunteers and a host of other occupations in our community.

Minimum requirements to be a Reserve Unit member are:

  • 18 years of age
  • Valid Georgia Drivers License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Application process includes a driving record background check and criminal background check.

 


Specialty Teams in Fayette County

 

The Multi-Jurisdictional Haz-Mat Response Team is an effort between Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Fayetteville Fire Department, and the Peachtree City Fire Department. The team responds countywide to chemical spills, industrial accidents involving hazardous materials, and biological incidents.
