Vital Records

Birth and Death Certificates

The Probate Court has the capability of certifying most Georgia birth certificates. When requesting a certified copy of a birth certificate, photo ID is required. The cost is $25.00 for the first certified copy and $5.00 for any additional. If requesting for someone else, only certain individuals can obtain the birth certificate.
Birth certificates for Fayette County home births are processed through Probate Court. Packets are available for pickup.
